My children deserve a birthday

Greetings everyone! I am new to this but I will try to tell you a bit about myself. I am a disabled, homebound, 53 year old mom/grandma to beautiful 7 and 8 year old boys. They are my grandson's, but I have adopted them to try to make a "better life" for them. I took them under wing at ages of 1 year and 1 week old, relatively.

My oldest grandson is autistic, and he is not the typical child. Although, he is hard to care for, I will never let him know it. Many nights I sit and watch him rock, wondering if he will ever be able to live a full life as an adult. I pray I will be around many more years for him.

Up until now, I have been doing okay by them. I am in the process of trying to get settled into a rental in Georgia. I came from Michigan, where I now find has much more to offer the disabled or low income family. I moved to Georgia after I found I have to have a leg amputated. I needed to be near someone who could take care of my boys during my hospital stay and recovery.

In Michigan, I received $350.00 in food stamp help for the three of us per month. Here in Georgia it has been reduced to $72.00 per month. I had Home help care worker, who I received $1000.00 per month to pay.  Here in Georgia, I do not receive any such help. I cannot get out shopping nor do I have the money to shop. I am falling behind in my bills. I do not want to go on, talking about my woes, as most of you have heard so many crying out or have troubles of your own.

What I am trying to get to is this. I am not one to ask for help, but I have reached my bottom, so to speak. My boy's birthdays are both this month. Luckily, they do not understand dates yet. But, as July is almost over, I am getting desperate. If there is any way, anyone could donate a gift for a 7 or 8 year old, I would be so so grateful! Please let me know so I can give you my address. I do not want their birthday to pass without them receiving a thing. This is breaking my heart more than I can possibly express.

I thank you so much and may God bless you all with health, wealth and happiness. God Bless the child who got his own...

Blessings~

About dodgers

We are in need of $5000 soon.  I lost my job 8 years ago, and am now working making less than half of what I was.  Because of this, we have gotten ourselves in a bind financially.  We have recently made some adjustments to our financial picture and am making some progress.  But we still have some past due obligations (mortgage , credit cards, etc) that we need to resolve.  My wife's employer has recently cut her hours and benefits, which dosn't help the situation either.

Our first grandchild will be here in less than a month.  We are so excited.

We would appreciate any help anyone can give us.

Thank you

May God Bless you.

Need help! I feel desperate. Our family always did okay. We lived paycheck to paycheck and went without the extras, but that was alright. We always found an honest way to get by. Now, I am unsure how that is going to happen. Power company wants payment and we are scheduled for disconnect and we are 2 months behind on rent. Things were fine until are daughter got in legal trouble and was given 90 days in jail. She is a single mother. We are raising her child, my grandchild,  while she is gone. This has ghretaly affected the number of hours I have been putting in at work. My husband has always worked but got fired when a new manager came in and he has been trying to make it on side jobs while looking for full-time empoyment. I know if we can get through till my daughter is released we will be okay. I am unsure how to do that. The father of the baby is not an option for babysitting and has a warrant out for unpaid child support. There is no money left in the states emergency funds, I asked. There is no one to ask for help. My father is a widower and my mother-in-law is a widow, both living on fixed income and not close in distance. We recieved no tax refund this year, and have no other money coming in. We both try so hard. Even being broke we volunteer with the area resuce service and fire department. We just need temporary help. Any ideas? Any known resources? I am not used to asking for help and my pride has taken a blow. The welfare of my family is a much bigger concern though.

About Memaw1

I am a single mom with not enough income coming in to pay the bills. Something always sits until, well whenever I can find a way to pay it (if I can). Everyroom in my townhome is in need of repairs, and I just don't have the money and I can't get a grant because everyone I have tried for says I need to be an organization or something. There are plumbing problems, electrical problems.  I have mounting hospital bills (on my credit report) that I can't pay because I have no insurance or extra money to pay them. I can't afford to get insurance and Maryland Medicaid says I work and don't qualify.  I struggle every month to make the mortgage payment and get to work daily. My van needs some work on it and I can't even get the reapirs done.  If that breaks down I am in deep water.  I am raising my 21 month old grandchild along with two other children. One who is hardly around and the other is in school.  I just need some help. If I can get the home fixed up so that I don't loose it and my children, that would be the biggest blessing of all.  Constantly being rushed to the hospital for severe asthma and COPD problems doesn't help any.  I have been told I am disabled due the the COPD and asthma, but I do work a non stressful job.  I don't make a lot of money.  I asked my boss if I would be getting a raise anytime soon since I have been here almost 2 years and she said unless we get more customers I wouldn't.  My take home is very little (less than $500 every two weeks).  I not only need the home fixed up but I need help with the medical bills.  Is there anyone who can please be my guardian angel and help us? God Bless those who do help us.  Power of prayer also helps, but physical and financial would be a great blessing also.  Please someone, anyone.  My phone number is 301-793-1215 if anyone can help.  God truly Bless those who can help us in our time of need.  Thank you
